Gilligan staff

Born on December 23, 1913 in Boston, Massachusetts, Anton "Tony" Leader was an American TV director and producer. He was a director of the syndicated radio program "Murder at Midnight" from 1946 to1947 and producer for CBS Radio's "Suspense" program for 1948 to 1950. In the 50s and 60s, he directed episodes of "Perry Mason," "The Twilight Zone," "Leave It To Beaver," "Rawhide," "Lost In Space," "Star Trek" and 'Gilligan's Island." He also directed the movies "Children of the Damned" in 1964, "The Virginian" in 1962 and "The Adventures of Jim Bowie" in 1956, winning the 1965 Western Heritage Award for the episode known as "The Horse Fighter" of "The Virginian." He died on July 1, 1988 in Los Angeles, California, survived by his wife, Rosalind Palca, and his two children.
