Born in Peoria, Illinois on January 22, 1945, Steve Vinovich is the son of Stephen J. Vinovich, an insurance salesman, and Jennie J. (née Kuhel), a secretary. He has had a long film career in several feature films; one of his earliest was The Mechanic" in 1972, which also featured Jill Ireland, Celeste Yarnall and Alan Gibbs. His later film credits include "Seize the Day" with John Fiedler in 1979, Mannequin in 1987 with Kim Cattrall, Carole Davis and Andrew McCarthy, "Awakenings" in 1990 with Richard Libertini and "The Santa Clause" franchise in the 1990s. In 1988, Steve co-starred with Miriam Flynn in the short-lived television series called "Raising Miranda" playing a married couple. He has appeared in several TV Shows in his career, including "Three's Company," "Hill Street Blues," "Cheers," "LA Law," and "Roseanne." In 2001, he starred in the dual roles of Thurston Howell III and Jim Backus in the CBS-TV docudrama movie Surviving Gilligan's Island.
