Bio[]
Let Me Entertain You is a song from the 1959 musical, "Gypsy," written by Stephen Sondheim with music by Jule Styne. The musical is loosely based on the 1957 memoirs of Gypsy Rose Lee, the famous striptease artist, following the dreams and efforts of Rose to raise two daughters to perform onstage. Ginger sings the song to Gilligan during the castaway's beauty contest, but she only gets midway before getting pelted by pea-shooters by Mr. Howell and the Professor.
Lyrics[]
Let me entertain you
Let me make you smile
Let me do a few tricks
Some old and then some new tricks
I'm very versatile
And if you're real good
I'll make you feel good
I want your spirits too climb
So let me entertain you
And we'll have a real good time, yes sir
We'll have a real good time
And if you're real good
I'll make you feel good
I want your spirits to climb
Let me entertain you
And we'll have a real good time
