Born in Chicago, Illinois on February 16, 1917, George A. Neise was an American actor who starred in over 120 film and television appearances between 1942 and 1978, mostly playing soldiers in war-themed films. A former member of the U.S. Army during World War II, Neise became an actor after the war, starring in two Three Stooges feature films, "The Three Stooges Meet Hercules" and "The Three Stooges in Orbit." During the Fifties and the Sixties, he was mostly employed as a character actor in TV series as "The Lone Ranger," "Death Valley Days," "Cheyenne," "Zorro," "Have Gun Will Travel" and "The Rifleman." Because of the number of roles he played as criminals, he played five murder victims on "Perry Mason." His later TV roles included appearances on the series "The Dick Van Dyke Show," "Green Acres," "The Andy Griffith Show," "The Addams Family," "Gilligan's Island," "Hogan's Heroes," "Adam-12," and "Get Smart." He died from cancer on April 14, 1996 at the age of seventy-nine. He was survived by three children and two wives.
