Boris Knuckley is a Boston con-artist whose modus operandi was to pose as a minister and marry off couples into fraudulent marriages. His activities became public during the second year of the castaways isolation on island, featured on the radio program, Oddities In The News, where he was confused with notable minister Buckley Norris, the same man who had performed the wedding of the Howells. When the news was released, the Howells split up, their fights antagonizing the other castaways. The Howells eventually decided to get re-married with the Skipper performing the ceremony, which failed when Gilligan fell into the lagoon. By time, the news program corrected its error, however, the Howells were still fighting with Mr. Howell moving in to the Boy's Hut.
