Born on July 19, 1918 in New York City, Alan Crosland Jr. was an American director and editor. The son of Silent Film director, Alan Crosland, he worked for Warner Brothers from 1944 to 1952 and United Artists from 1954 to 1955 before becoming a prolific director of episodic television in the 60s and 70s. His work included "Maverick," "Cheyenne," "Death Valley Days," "Gunsmoke," "Peter Gunn," "Alfred Hitchcock Presents," "Twilight Zone," "Outer Limits," "Gilligan's Island," "Ben Casey," "Wild Wild West," "Adam-12," "Emergency," "The Six Million Dollar Man," the two-part pilot for "The Bionic Woman," "Wonder Woman," "The Incredible Hulk," "The Fall Guy" and "MacGyver" He died on December 18, 2001 in Palm Desert, California, survived by his wife and two children.
